After a warm October where we didn’t get ‘peak autumn’, I expected November to be the month where I would take photos with swathes of autumn colours. I also expected misty days, rain and maybe images of rain dripping from the trees. Instead, the dry weather continued but with some very windy days. The leaves were stripped from the trees before I got any autumnal shots. There were a couple of frosty days but it didn’t really get cold until the end of the month. Then, remarkably, one Sunday morning we woke up to snow.
Just after Halloween, this pumpkin got away and ended up in the burn. I watched it disintegrate as the month progressed.

Finally we had a frosty morning and I took the classic shot of frosted leaves on my phone.

I've taken lots of photos of seed heads in the park and I particularly liked this one because of the autumnal background, created by the sun coming through the leaves.

I liked the abstract patterns created by the reflections of the wooden battens in the burn.

There were still a few flowers left in the park when the snow came. Winter and summer in the same image.

I've tried to get a shot of these pink rowans since I first noticed them in September but, until it snowed, I didn't get an image I was happy with. Although the sun was out by this time, I preferred this shaded image.
